Garlic Bread

I am glad I tried this healthy raw recipe! The leftovers I put in the refrigerator until I want another goodie, I'll just throw them back on the dehydrator to warm them up. If you like garlic...lookout!! It's yummy!
Today I put my leftover raw Garlic Bread on the dehydrator and about 3-4 hours later. Amazing!!
I can't wait to make more!! You can find this recipe along with some amazing recipes by Juliano.

RAW Garlic Bread
1/2 large jicama
1/4 cup almonds
1/4 cup flax seeds
1/2 tsp celtic salt
1/8 cup olive oil
1/4 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped
7-8 garlic cloves, minced
3 tbsp lemon juice

Slice your jicama very thin and place on your dehydrator trays. Grind your flax seeds and almonds in a blender or coffee grinder. Mix all ingredients and spread on your jicama slices. Dehydrate for about 7-9 hours until chewy.

Now this is so low fat healthy raw recipe and just amazing after on the dehydrator for about 4-5 hours, just enough to dry the cauliflower out a bit. This is my new favorite and if you don't have a dehydrator just eat it right out of the bag. Great when your on the go! Take it with you hiking!!

Cauliflower
Brewers Yeast
Celtic Salt

Chop as much popcorn as you want. Place in zip lock bag. Toss in enough brewers yeast to coat your popcorn and add your cayenne, salt to taste! Your done!
Dehydrate for about 4-5 hours.

Raw Brownies YUMMY!

RAW Brownie!!

Now this is a must try vegan raw food brownie recipe. You will not believe it's not a cooked brownie. Now you can make this in about 5 minutes and be eating them all up! This great recipe can be found in Jennifer Cornbleet's book "Raw Food Made Easy"

1 1/2 cups walnut
dash salt
10-15 pitted dates
1/3 cup cocoa or carob powder
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp water

Chop 1/4 cup walnuts set aside.
Place remaining walnuts in food processor and process until fine ground. Add date then process. Add remaining ingredients and pack firmly into square container and top with chopped walnuts. Store in refrigerator for one week or up to a month in freezer.

RAW Zucchini Pasta with Pesto

There are many more raw food recipes for beginners here at vegan raw food.
This recipe took me a long time to make. I just didn't like the thought of raw zucchini noodles until one day when I was pleasantly surprised by this wonderful dish. Amazing is all I can say!! It is a must try I can tell you. I've been making this pesto recipe for years and have it memorized. Very easy!! I grow my own fresh basil,  garlic in our garden here in Montana.
For your raw pasta, you start with a Saladacco Spiral Slicer or just use a plain ole potato peeler. Let your noodles set at room temperature in a covered container for a few hours. Then whip up your pesto.

Use your food processor to make your pesto as follows:
Pesto
2 handfuls fresh basil
2 tbsp pine nuts
2-4 garlic cloves
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp salt
You decide how thick you want your pesto by the amount of oil you use.
Process and your ready to eat!!
Enjoy!!

Juliano's RAW The UNcook Book

I have had this for over 7 years and was one of the first RAW cookbooks that I bought and it was worth every penny. I have tired several recipes and was delighted with the flavor. The Mock Salmon is a great recipe. I have had the raw BBQ sauce mixed with assorted vegetables sliced very thin and put into tortillas and this is the best ever!! Just letting you all know how much I like this book!

I got this RAW Cookbook
"I Am Grateful"

and thought I would let you all know how I love this cookbook. Cafe Gratitude has several locations in California.

Recipes I have tried so far

I am original onion bread and
I am relishing pizza crust/buckwheat crackers

both are excellent and I can't wait to try more!!
I am so glad I bought this book. YUM

RAW Cabbage Salad

This salad is one of my quick favorites and there are a few versions I have of it. Yummy avocados in it just top it off!

I have a salad shooter so it takes no time to make a huge bowl of this for a few days. I only shred green cabbage, slice radishes, grate carrot then I add as much cilantro as I want. I store all that in the refrigerator and grab a bowl quick and fill it with this salad then I top with avocados sliced. I make a dressing of a lemon juiced and enough extra virgin olive oil then I add about 1/2 tsp Herbmare, a little garlic powder and a pinch of cayenne. I add enough for my salad and toss then store the rest in the refrigerator. It's quick and easy!! Coming soon I'll do another version of this.
Enjoy!!

RAW Tostada

My version of a "raw tostada" and how I love these.

I take and dehydrate a "Tomato Basil Flax Seed Cracker" and then the rest you can see everything that is on there. Just take and make a guacamole then top with your favorite veggies such as sprouts, sliced peppers, red onion, and cilantro.
Throw a few shakes of your favorite hot sauce and you have a yummy Mexican meal.
